1 ½ day Train the Trainer Programs

The Train the Trainer programs (TTT) are designed as advanced-level training where skilled academic faculty and clinical providers are trained in communication skills to become facilitators for other programs locally or as part of DrossmanCare workshops.   We have completed four Train the Trainers (TTT) programs. One was for the advanced GI faculty at Johns Hopkins, two were for the Rome Foundation Board of Directors, and the fourth was for mid-level key opinion-level participants (See Figure 2).  The program consists of lectures, video demonstrations with discussion, small group teaching with patient simulators, group facilitation methods, and Balint-type education where clinicians share their difficulties in managing their patients. After completing these courses, participants are certified to become faculty facilitators.
