Post-Doctoral Fellow
Mayo Clinic
Rochester, MN

Dr. Cipriani is a post-doctoral fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His research is aimed at investigating the role of gastric muscularis macrophages in the development of delayed gastric emptying, a major feature of diabetic gastroparesis. His studies so far have drawn his attention to the deep lack of information about macrophages in the muscle layers of the gastrointestinal tract. He’s hoping to continue his research with a focus on understanding the basic mechanism leading to the activation of muscularis macrophages in health and diseases.

For his project on the role of Muscularis Macrophages in the development of diabetic gastroparesis
