Role-play with Simulated Patients Group One

In these facilitated role-play sessions with simulated patients we have 3 patients. The first is a man with Crohn’s disease who develops a new type of rectal pain, the second is a woman with abdominal swelling and pain and the 3rd is a teenager with vomiting and hematemesis. In all cases the clinician receives input from the group in order to improve his or her interview technique and in each case the newer method yields more clinically relevant information and a deeper understanding of the emotional context of the illness.
