Course Description

This CME activity covers the key elements of good provider/patient communication to optimize patient care, decrease burnout, and increase provider and patient satisfaction.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of all patient-facing health care professionals, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dieticians, and psychologists.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Practice active listening
  • Recognize the patient’s body language–and their own
  • Exhibit greater empathy
  • Increase patient satisfaction

Criteria for Success

In order to receive credit, participants should watch the entire video. Once you have watched the video, you will continue to the post test and evaluation. You must answer 3 out of 3 post test questions correctly.  A certificate will generate upon submission of the post test and evaluation.
