About
The Asian Working Team for FGIDs reviewed extensive literature and coordinated an Asian multi-national survey to obtain data that aided in the development of the Rome IV criteria. To support its goal, this Working Team focused efforts on creating a cultural adaptation of the Rome III Diagnostic Questionnaire, leading to the development of the Enhanced Asian Rome III Questionnaire (EAR3Q), which was then linguistically validated, showing that the EAR3Q is able to allocate diagnosis according to Rome III criteria. Because of the EAR3Q, future research and data on DBGIs can be more inclusive to the Asian population.
