1. Improve quality and quantity of dietary trials in DGBI

  • Education on best practice research methods relevant to dietary trials in DGBI via:
    • Conference presentations
    • Social media and webinar education sessions
    • Future grant opportunities

    2. Increasing diversity of trials in DGBI e.g. type of DGBI (upper), type of interventions

    • Expanding nutrition speakers in upper gastroenterology sessions at key conferences
    • Identifying gaps in diet and DGBI research areas and raising awareness and capacity building to address these

      3. Capacity building in DGBI

      • Connecting centres of research excellence in DGBI to expand research collaborations

        4. Increase utilization of research to inform practice

        • Translational science focussed presentations to educate clinicians on diet in DGBI (in collaboration with ROME Education and Training committee)
