Pharmacological Trials in Children with IBS

About

The Rome Foundation Working Team on Pharmacological Trials in Children with IBS was formed because, despite chronic abdominal pain being one of the symptoms most commonly encountered by pediatric providers and gastroenterologists, there is little published evidence of efficacy for the most commonly used treatments. Thus, there was an urgent need to conduct clinical trials on existing and novel therapies. This working team developed guidelines for the design of clinical trials in children with IBS based on evidence from published data and consensus of expert opinion.
